With Eyal Chehanowski and Dr. Rafi Peled

This journey to Mysore and Hampi highlights the multifaceted nature of yoga by connecting its physical, intellectual, and cultural aspects. It offers a unique blend of physical and mental training (asanas, breathing, meditation), philosophical exploration, and cultural encounters within the rich Indian environment where yoga originated and evolved.

Starting in Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, participants will engage in yoga studies while exploring the city's historical and cultural heritage. The journey combines deep yoga practice with philosophical inquiry and cultural exploration, immersing participants in the serene atmosphere and breathtaking landscapes of this historic region.

The journey continues in Mysore, known as the southern capital of modern yoga, where the group will deepen their practice amid the city’s royal architecture and vibrant cultural life. This experience offers a holistic connection between the body, mind, and the rich Indian culture that has nurtured .yoga for centuries

Dr. Rafael

Peled

"I deeply love India and have been studying and teaching about Indian culture for about 25 years, driven by a strong belief in its personal and cultural value. I studied Sanskrit in India and other places around the world, and for the past decade, I have been teaching it at Tel Aviv University and beyond. Twice a year, I lead in-depth journeys across India. I have been collaborating productively with Eyal for over a decade and I am grateful for this partnership."

01

To deepen the yoga practice through daily training under the guidance of Eyal.

02

To broaden the understanding of the cultural and philosophical background of yoga.

03

To facilitate encounters with others through which we can also meet ourselves.

Eyal Chehanowski

"I first encountered yoga in New York in 1996, and since then, it has been an integral and ongoing part of my life. Later, I traveled to Mysore to practice under the guidance of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the father of Ashtanga Yoga. I completed my teacher training in 2000 at Jivamukti Yoga, and since then, I have continued to explore and deepen my practice. I have had the privilege of studying with teachers such as Richard Freeman and John Evans. The extensive and profound knowledge I have gained from them and other teachers, combined with my rich experience in practice and teaching, allows me to offer a unique blend of traditional knowledge and personal, independent exploration."
